At a destination and decide to lengthen your stay? You can extend the days of your existing CAA plan on any of the following:

- Trip Cancellation and Interruption Plan
- Visitors to Canada Plan*
Rider options.
A rider refers to optional insurance coverage you can purchase for activities that aren’t normally covered, such as professional sports and participation in speed contests or an adventurous air activities rider (for activities like ballooning, parasailing and helicopter excursions) in conjunction with emergency medical insurance.
Pre-Existing Medical Condition Rider³
Provides peace of mind if you have an unstable medical condition or have had a change in medication prior to departure. Can be added to all emergency medical and vacation package plans. Coverage up to a maximum of $200K per insured per trip for eligible hospital and medical-related expenses for sickness or injury incurred as a result of a pre-existing medical condition that existed prior to the departure date. The rider decreases the stability period to seven days prior to the trip.
Adventurous Air Activities Rider²
Provides peace of mind and medical coverage if you'll be doing things like parasailing, hot-air ballooning or taking a helicopter tour. Can be added to all emergency medical and vacation package plans. Optional medical coverage up to $5,000,000 for death or injury sustained as a result of participating in the above listed activities.
Professional Sport and Participation in Speed Contest Rider²
Provides peace of mind and medical coverage for those engaging in activities involving extreme speed. Can be added to all emergency medical and vacation package plans. Reimbursement for expenses incurred as a result of an injury or sickness while participating in, training or practicing for a professional sport or motorized speed contest.
